Week 11 OTC FanDuel Fantasy Football League

[adsenseyu1]

We’ve been able to get 10 teams entered the last few weeks so I’m going to see if we can expand this to 16 teams this week to potentially drive up the prize pool. Feel free to let any friends of yours who play or might want to play to check it out since we are pushing the limit higher. The cost to join the league remains just $2 and the top 3 will win prizes. The deadline for entry is a few minutes before the 1PM kickoff on Sunday. Remember that each week we will have a new league so there is also no commitment to play beyond week 11.

If you haven’t tried FanDuel out yet its basically a weekly fantasy football league where your team is made up within the constraints of a salary cap. They do have free games to try out and if you click through the link you should be able to see how the game works and how you pick a team without needing to sign up. By signing up through OTC FanDuel will also issue you a deposit bonus to try out the games. It’s really fun and I definitely recommend it to anyone that can spare a few dollars each week. Its a small league so its a good type of league to learn in as well.

We had quite the game last week with Kylerap taking first place with 172 points, hitting on almost every position last week. The Cardinals surge at the end of the game on defense was the clincher. Mathhewsimon came in a close second at 169, which would have been a winner most weeks.  He had major hitters at QB and RB to held drive him. Finally phenomjones took 3rd place.

I continued my streak of being terrible with an 8th place finish with just 113 points. Only Justin Forsett exceeded my projection on the week and most of my players were disappointments. The moral of the story is to find out who I pick and just avoid those players.

Congrats to all the winners and good luck to the players this week!

We’ve been able to get 10 teams entered the last few weeks so we’re back again this week with an 11 team league. The cost to join the league is just $2 and the top 3 will win prizes. The deadline for entry is a few minutes before the 1PM kickoff on Sunday. Remember that each week we will have a new league so there is also no commitment to play beyond week 10.

For those of you who missed out last week we had another competitive game with chaplainward120 earning first place with just over 149 points and a very productive overall lineup. Drob511  made 2nd place while cdm49er came in third.

I didnt far nearly as well with just 114 points and a 7th place finish. My game was pretty much sunk when I ended up with Dez Bryant playing with Brandon Weeden on the day and my expectations for a huge game for Dez went right down the toilet. Hopefully I get some better luck this weekend.

Congrats to all the winners and good luck to the players this week!

Week 9 FanDuel Fantasy Football Contest

[adsenseyu1]

We have another FanDuel league set up for the week if you would like to join in. The entry fee is $2 and its a 10 team league. The league will run even if we have less, but hopefully we get 10 again this week. Prizes go to the top 3 teams and the deadline for entry is a few minutes before the 1PM kickoff on Sunday.

It was a tight contest last week with chaplainward120 taking first place with Arian Foster putting up huge numbers for his team. Tokyola was a very close second while Indianajet snuck into 3rd place.

My own team came in 6th as I had a strong feeling in the Seahawks offense and boy was that a bad idea.  I had almost no hope of overcoming that poor performance and then Jordy Nelson did little in the night game and I was completely sunk.

If for some reason anyone gets shut out because we fill up just let me know and we can see about expanding the league next week if we have enough. Good luck to everyone this week.

Week 8 OTC FanDuel Fantasy Football Contest

[adsenseyu1]

After another fun week of FanDuel with the readers of the site we have another game set up for this week. The entry fee is again $2 and I’ve expanded the field to 10 teams, which hopefully we can fill.  We have it set up so it wont cancel if we fall short but it seems like there is enough interest to get to 10 teams. Top 3 teams will win prizes for the week. You can sign up up until the 1PM games kickoff.

If you have not yet signed up for FanDuel I definitely reccomend it if you are a fan of Fantasy sports and have a few extra dollars to spend. There are all kinds of weekly leagues and there is no commitment beyond the game you sign up for. I can’t say I’m very good at it, but its a great deal of fun and just getting to put together the salary capped team is very addictive.

Last week was pretty much a no contest with Shawk running out to a quick lead after the 1PM games and never looking back. Shawk’s team scored an impressive 150.9 points with a big lift coming from Golden Tate, Sammy Watkins, and Kyle Orton, three excelent value picks last week. I snuck in second again, but way behind this time at just 115.9 pts. I had a few disappointing players but none a total dud (though Delanie Walker was pretty terrible). Unfortunately only Tate broke out and you need some breakout players to win.  Etobiason came in third place kind of in the same boat I was in with no real breakout showings on the team.

Congratulations to the winners and lets see if we can keep this going for the rest of the year.

Week 7 FanDuel Fantasy Football League Entry

[adsenseyu1]

I’m going to host another league this week on FanDuel for those interested in playing. It’s just a 6 team league as that was the number that worked last week with a $2 entry. The top 3 players win a few dollars.

This link should take you to the game, which begins on Sunday at 1PM.

If you have not yet signed up for FanDuel you can click on any of the links on the site and enter promo code OTC100 if prompted for it. You should be able to get some deposit bonus back on that.  If you enjoy fantasy sports and have a few dollars to spend I definitely recommend trying it out as it is a lot of fun.

In last weeks game CDM49er took the top spot with a score of 139, getting massive games from Matt Forte, Brendan Oliver, Jordy Nelson and Andre Holmes. I came in second with 131 points, with my week sunk by Andre Hawkins goose egg plus my thought that Eli Manning would have a good game against the Eagles. Danfrommadison came in third with 110 points.

So hopefully we get enough people this week to play again.

Ok I set up a small 6 team league which I hope we will fill up this week. The entry fee is $2 and half the teams will win a prize with $5 going to first place, $3.50 for 2nd and $2.30 for 3rd. To sign up simply follow the link

and set your rosters. FanDuel is a salary cap format game where you get $60,000 to field a 9 person team (QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, DEF).  If you don’t already have a FanDuel account you should be able to get a future bonus by entering the promo code OTC100 when you sign up. I believe that is still active.

Interest in a FanDuel League this Week?

[adsenseyu1]

Two weeks ago I tried to get a small FanDuel game together and unfortunately we fell two players short. Rather than spend the time setting a league up at the last minute I thought it would make more sense to guage interest in one this week.

The entry fee for the league will be $2 with (I think) the top 1/3 getting a prize from the pool. Its certainly not a big stakes game by any means but I thought it might be fun to do. I can do a recap the next week of how our teams did.

So if you would like to play just mention it in the comments or send me an email to lt me know you want to play. I’ll set a league up on Friday and put the info on here if we have enough interest in setting one up.
