Marshawn Lynch signed a new two year, $9 million contract with the Raiders following a trade with the Seahawks on April 26, 2017. $2.35 million is guaranteed, including a $1 million roster bonus and Lynch's 2017 salary. There is $500,000 in per game bonuses in 2017 and $750,000 in 2018. According to Mike Florio of PFT there is a large incentive package that Lynch can earn to increase the amount of the contract. The following breakdown comes from the PFT report: Lynch can earn up t0 $3.9 million in rushing incentives which starts at $400,000 for the first 400 yards and increases by another $400,000 for reaching 500 and 600 yards. At 800 yards the total increases to $600,000, which is also earned at 1,000 yards. For every 100 yards beyond 1,000, Lynch will earn $250,000 until the total bonus caps out at $3.9 million. If Lynch scores 9 touchdowns he will earn $250,000 and another $250,000 for 12 touchdowns. There are additional incentives in both 2017 and 2018 based on team performance.
On March 17, 2018 Lynch agreed to a paycut that reduced his salary from $5 million to $4.5 million. The Raiders guaranteed $3.5 million of the new salary. In addition his incentives were increased from $2 million to $3.75 million. Lynch's cap figure dropped by $1.5 million.
