Contract Notes

La'el Collins signed a 5 year contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys on September 3, 2019.  Based on initial report from Todd Archer of ESPN the contract is worth $50 million in new money with a full guarantee of $19,966,000 with a potential full guarantee of $35,000,000.  Collins received a $9 million signing bonus, and will earn a $3.5 million option bonus on the 5th day league year in 2020 along with guaranteed salaries in 2019 and 2020.  Collins has injury salary guarantees in 2021 and 2022 which will vest into a full guarantee on the fifth day of the individual league year. The contract will decrease Collins' 2019 salary cap figure by $5.7 million.
