Maybe one week I’ll break the 8 win mark as I seem stuck on that number. Unfortunately with my luck I’ll “break it” by finishing with like 3 wins one week. So let’s see how this week turns out.
VIKINGS (+3.5) over Packers– This seems like a bit of a crazy pick following last weeks showing by Aaron Rodgers, but I can see a bit of a letdown game even against a division foe. Vikings defense and special teams rise up to keep this close and maybe even sneak out a win. Packers 20 Vikings 17
TEXANS (-9.5) over Browns– Only way this is a game is if the Texans are caught looking forward to a bye week. Browns are terrible. Texans 34 Browns 13
FALCONS (-10.5) over Dolphins– Falcons have not been very impressive which makes this line a little scary, but Miami’s offense is so bad it’s a lot to ask them to be within 11 of a team that should be able to put up points. Falcons 23 Dolphins 10
49ers (+9.5) over REDSKINS– 49ers give it their all each and every week even if the results are poor. This is a team Washington should smoke but with games against the Eagles and Cowboys on the horizon this may be a sleepwalk kind of game that lets San Francisco hang around. Redskins 24 49ers 17
RAVENS (-6.5) over Bears– This should be a terrible spot for the Bears who are no good overall but even worse away from home. Bears should make enough mistakes to let the offensively challenged Ravens cover. Ravens 23 Bears 14
Lions (+4.5) over SAINTS– I think these are two pretty evenly matched teams and teams who may follow similar paths this year. Both will have their moments but likely falter on more than a few occasions and finish around 0.500. Saints 23 Lions 20
JETS (+9.5) over Patriots- Id be pleasantly surprised if the Jets won this game but given the Patriots defensive issues I think the Jets can hang within 10. Hopefully the Jets are aggressive and try to attack deep. Wouldn’t be surprised if there is talk of “moral victory” when its over. Patriots 30 Jets 24
JAGUARS (-2.5) over Rams– What Jaguars team shows up this week? Can the Rams overcome a big loss and prevent their season from becoming filled with more question marks? When the Jaguars are on they have been dominant so Ill go with them. Jaguars 33 Rams 20
CARDINALS (+2.5) over Bucs– I like the home/away matchup here even though its clear that the Cardinals are in desperation mode with the trade for Peterson. Bucs need to prove that they can beat teams like this away from home. Cardinals 23 Buccaneers 20
RAIDERS (-3.5) over Chargers– Huge game for the Raiders who have not fired this season. Carr should be back which will help. That half point scares me a little since the Chargers will always hang close, but Ill go with the Raiders. Raiders 24 Chargers 20
CHIEFS (-3.5) over Steelers– Im not sure if this is the spot for the Steelers to find their groove again. Chiefs have been on a roll all season and the Steelers have always been less effective away from home. Could I see the upset? Yes, but Id still be surprised. Chiefs 27 Steelers 16
BRONCOS (-11.5) over Giants– Giants are a mess and travelling to a really difficult place. I don’t see this being competitive. Broncos 27 Giants 13
TITANS (-1.5) over Colts– Probably be a high scoring game between one bad and one mediocre team. Titans should pull away late to take the game by a big margin. Titans 37 Colts 20
