Contract Notes

Travis Kelce signed a four year, $57.25 million contract extension with the Chiefs on August 14, 2020. Kelce received $27 million in guarantees, $20.25 million of which is guaranteed at signing. Kelce's 2020 and 2021 base salaries are fully guaranteed. There are per game roster bonuses in every year of the contract.

Kelce converted his 2021 roster bonus to a signing bonus for cap purposes. His cap number was reduced by $5.6 million.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Chiefs moved $1 million of Kelce's 2023 base salary into 2022, and added $2 million in 53-man per game roster bonuses.

Kelce and the Chiefs agreed on a new two year contract in 2024 that would increase his 2024 salary by $4 million. The new contract removed the per game bonuses from the original deal and moved most of Kelce's 2025 salary to a roster bonus.  The Chiefs fully guaranteed Kelce's 2024 salary. The move increased his cap number for 2024 by $4 million.
