Contract Notes
Dak Prescott and the Cowboys agreed to a four-year, $240 million extension in new money including an $80 million signing bonus. Prescott\'s extension has $129 million guaranteed at signing with a total guarantee of $231 million. Prescott\'s salaries in 2024 and 2025 are fully guaranteed and has one-year early rolling guarantees through the remainder of the contract. Prescott reportedly also received a no-trade clause and no franchise tag clause. The extension lowered Prescott's cap number by $11.75 million for 2024.
The Cowboys converted $45.75 million of Prescott's salary in 2025 to a signing bonus. The move lowered his cap number by $36.6 million in 2025 and increased his cap number by $9.15 million in each of the next four seasons.
