Zack’s Monday Night Football Pick

Now, I’m sitting just a smidge over .500 at 14-13-1 and I’ve got one more pick for this week looking at tonight’s MNF game.

I wasn’t going to touch this game because I wasn’t sure where I stood with these two teams, but after last week’s well played game against the Packers last week, I think the Jets are going to take this game at home. Currently, the line is Jets -1 heading into their game in the Meadowlands tonight and I think the homefield advantage and a few key injuries that no one is talking about make the difference tonight.

I think the Jets have one of the best front sevens in the NFL this year and the Bears will be without their starting guard Matt Slauson and center Roberto Garza. I don’t see Matt Forte getting much done on the ground tonight as the Jets run defense has only allowed 52.5 rushing yards per game and I think their pass rush against a depleted Bears o-line will help their secondary somewhat contain Marshall, Jeffrey and Bennett.

I love what we’ve seen out of Geno Smith through two weeks and I think he plays well again tonight with Decker back out there and the Bears are without future Hall of Famer Charles Tillman.

Because of injuries and the home field advantage for a Jets team that has really impressed me so far this year, I see this game going in the Jets favor.

PICK: Jets -1
