The Titans will soon release center Lloyd Cushenberry, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Cushenberry was about to enter the third year of a four year, $50 million contract that he signed with the team as a free agent back in 2024. The team will only save $3.4 million in cap room with the release and he will count for $9.05 million in dead money.

The Titans had already paid Cushenberry just under $30 million of the four year contract and his salary this year was just $8 million. Considering the Titans are flush with cap room this move is more about finding another starter at the position rather than anything about money. Tennessee should have about $106 million in cap room once the move is official.
