The Green Bay Packers have waived LB DJ Smith. Smith was a former 6th round selection in the 2011 draft. According to Pro Football Focus Smith played in 385 snaps last seasons and was one of the primary reserves at Inside Linebacker. The Packers will carry $51,576 in dead money plus whatever daily workout payments he had earned once Smith clears waivers or is claimed by another team.
