Troy had a pretty interesting question regarding practice squad elevations this week where he wondered just how much teams are actually spending on elevations since this is a new thing teams will have to budget for in the future. Since we track standard elevations (Covid elevations hopefully will just be a one year deal) we can run through each team and see how much they have spent over the players practice squad salary this year.

Prorating for the season it would seem that teams should set aside somewhere between $700,000 and $750,000 in elevation salary. Also in looking at the numbers the current split between elevations for those making $204K vs $142.8K is about 110 to 325 this year.
