Contract Notes
Nate Solder signed a four year, $62 million contract with the Giants on March 14, 2018. Solder received $34.8 million in full guarantees. Solder's entire 2018 and 2019 base salary are fully guaranteed and he received a $16 million signing bonus. If Solder is on the roster on the 1st day of the 2020 league year he will earn a $3 million roster bonus. If he is on the roster on the 1st day of the 2021 league year he will earn a $4 million roster bonus. The contract also contains annual $100,000 workout bonuses.
Solder reduced his salary in 2021 to $3 million.
On September 3, 2019 Solder converted $7.5 million of his salary to a bonus to create $5 million in cap room to allow the Giants to be compliant with the 2019 salary cap. His remaining two contract years will each increase by $2.5 million.
