Contract Notes

Marshon Lattimore and New Orleans Saints agreed to a 5 year, $97 million contract extension on September 13, 2021. Per PFT, Lattimore received $44.347 million in full guarantees and another $24 million in injury protection at signing. $12 million of Lattimore 2023 salary will become fully guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2022 league year. $12 million of the 2024 salary will be fully guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2023 league year. Lattimore also has roster bonuses due on the 5th day of the league year in 2025 and 2026.

The Saints converted $23.1 million of Lattimore's salary to a bonus in 2022. The restructure created $18.45 million in 2022 cap space. His cap number increased by $4.6 million in each remaining contract year.

The Saints converted $13.4 million of Lattimore's 2023 salary to a bonus for cap purposes. This move created $10.74 million in cap room and increased his future cap numbers by $2.684 million per year. A void year was added for cap purposes.
