Contract Notes
Marcus Cannon signed a five year, $32.5 million contract extension with the Patriots on November 29, 2016. Cannon received $12.35 million fully guaranteed at signing and $14.5 million in total guarantees. The full guarantee consists of a $7 million signing bonus and his 2017 and 2018 base salaries. In 2019 he has an injury guarantee that will become fully guaranteed if on the roster on the third day of that League Year. There are yearly $500,000 per game bonuses as well as $100,000 offseason weight bonuses.
Cannon opted out of the 2020 NFL season due to the Covid pandemic. His contract will now toll to 2022.
