Contract Notes

Linval Joseph signed a five year, $50 million contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings on August 7, 2017. According to Mike Florio of PFT, Joseph received $11.15 million fully guaranteed including a $6 million signing bonus and a $4 million roster bonus. A total of $31.5 million is guaranteed with each guarantee vesting to full on the 3rd day of the respective league year. There are also $500,000 in annual per game bonuses beginning in 2019. Joseph's 2017 cap charge increases $200,000 with the extension and his 2018 cap charge will increase by $1.2 million.
