Contract Notes

King Dunlap signed a 4 year, $28 million contract with the San Diego Chargers on February 27, 2014. Per Michael Gehlken Dunlap received a $6.5 million signing bonus and $8.5 million in full guarantees. According to Gehlken, Dunlap’s 2016 base salary will become fully guaranteed on the 3rd day of the 2016 League Year. Dunlap will be eligible to receive up to $500,000 in gameday active roster bonuses in 2015 and 2016 and $1 million in gameday active bonuses in 2017 and 2018.  If Dunlap is on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2018 League Year he will receive a $750,000 roster bonus. Dunlap will earn $50,000 each time he is selected to the Pro Bowl.

Dunlap renegotiated his contract in 2016 accepting a $1.2 million paycut in 2016. His new salary is a fully guaranteed $3.3 million. The remainder of his contract remains the same.
