Contract Notes
Josh Allen signed a $258M, six year extension with the Bills on August 6, 2021. The contract has $150 million guaranteed for injury with $100 million fully guaranteed at signing. The full guarantee consists of Allen's 2021, 2022, and 2023 base salaries, a $6 million roster bonus due in 2024, a $16.46 million signing bonus, and a 2022 option bonus worth $42.4 million. If Allen is on the roster on the 5th day of the 2022 league year, $10 million of his 2023 salary will be fully guaranteed. If Allen is on the roster on the 5th day of the 2023 league year, $13.5 million of his 2024 salary is fully guaranteed and $16.5 million of a 2025 roster bonus is fully guaranteed. On the 5th day of the 2024 league year, Allen will earn a full guarantee on the entire 2025 roster bonus and his 2025 salary worth $14 million. The 2025 salary is not injury guaranteed. On the 5th day of the 2025 league year Allen will earn a full guarantee on his $15 million 2026 roster bonus which was not guaranteed at signing.
