Contract Notes
Jonathon Cooper signed a four year, $54 million contract extension with the Broncos on November 1, 2024. $31.73 million is guaranteed of which $16.73 million is fully guaranteed at signing. Cooper received a $6 million signing bonus and his remaining 2024 salary as well as his 2025 salary are fully guaranteed. There are annual per game bonuses as part of the contract. The extension has a negligible impact on Cooper's 2024 salary cap number.
The Broncos converted Cooper's $4 million roster bonus into a signing bonus in 2025. The move reduced Cooper's cap number by $3.2 million in 2025 and increased his cap number by $800,000 in each remaining season of the contract.
