Contract Notes

Jake Elliott signed a 5 year extension with the Philadelphia Eagles on November 28, 2019.  The contract is worth $19,308,100 in new money with $5,655,000 in full guarantees, with a total guarantee of $9,270,000.  Elliott will receive an option bonus payment in 2020 worth $3.87 million along with a guaranteed salary of $755,000, guaranteed (5 days after signing contract) roster bonus $980,000 and guaranteed (5 days after signing contract) workout bonus of $50,000.  If the 2020 option is not executed, Elliott's 2020 base salary will increase to $4.625 million voiding 2024 year of the contract but that is unlikely to happen.  $2.25 million of Elliott's 2021 base salary is guaranteed for injury only at signing, however it will vest into a full guarantee on March 22, 2020 (5th day of the 2020 league year), along with his $50,000 workout bonus also becoming guaranteed at the same time.  Elliott has a $2.25 million injury guarantee in 2022, which will become fully guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2022 league year.  Elliott can earn a $200,000 roster bonus on the 5th day of each league year in 2022-2024.  Elliott also has escalators built into the contract for 2021-2024 based on pro bowls, conference championship, and/or super bowl appearances; along with individual statistical metrics.  The escalators can be applied to salary or roster bonus payments.
