Derek Stingley signed a three year, $90 million contract extension with the Texans on March 18, 2025. The contract contains $89.02 million in guarantees of which $48.02 million is fully guaranteed. The new money guarantee is $66 million. Stingley received a $25 million signing bonus and his 2025 and 2026 base salaries are fully guaranteed at signing. If on the roster on the 5th day of the 2026 league year, Stingley's 2027 salary will be guaranteed. On the 5th day of the 2027 league year his 2028 salary will be fully guaranteed. There is a $1 million roster bonus due on the 5th day of the 2029 league year. There are annual per game bonuses worth $500,000 from 2026 through 2029.
