Contract Notes

The Steelers signed David DeCastro to a five year, $50 million contract extension. DeCastro received a $16 million signing bonus. If he is on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2016 and 2017 League Year he will receive roster bonuses of $6.75 and $3.79 million.On February 8, 2018 Decastro converted $6.79 million of his 2018 base salary and offseason roster bonus into a signing bonus. The move created $5.092 million in cap space for the Steelers in 2018. Decastro's future salary cap numbers will each increase by $1.6975 million.
