Contract Notes
Bryce Callahan signed a three year, $21 million contract with the Broncos. $10 million of the contract is guaranteed. The guarantee is made up of a $4 million signing bonus, $2.5 million 2019 salary, and a $3.5 million 2020 roster bonus. In each year of the contract he can earn up to $500,000 in per game bonuses.
On March 22, 2020, the Broncos and Callahan agreed to a renegotiated contract. Per Aaron Wilson, Callahan agreed to convert $1.75 million in base salary and $250,000 in per game roster bonuses into a $2 million playtime incentive for 2020. The Broncos also agreed to add a $382,353 roster bonus in 2021 (that is 1/17th of his $6.5 million base salary) that is contingent upon the expansion of the 2021 to 17 games, and should Callahan be on the roster for any game of the 2021 season.
