Last week I went 9-4 picking straight up but just 6-7 picking against the points bringing the records to 86-47 and 68-65 respectively. We’ve started out poorly with a loss with the Redskins this week but lets see if there is a bounceback on Sunday…
Seahawks (-6.5) over FALCONS– After another underwhelming performance I think we might be able to at least look at the Seahawks with a bit of caution. Still that should not be a real concern until they play decent football teams, which is not Atlanta. Seahawks 31 Falcons 20
Bills (+3.5) over STEELERS– The Steelers have the great history and reputation but they are a team that just looks old right now. Buffalo, even with their QB issues, competes every week and that is against much better teams than this. Bills with the victory. Bills 23 Steelers 21
Lions (+2.5) over BEARS– Big game in the wide open North division. The Bears should get Jay Cutler back while the Lions are well rested. Im never crazy about taking the Lions on the road but I tend to think Matt Stafford is less likely to make a crucial mistake than Cutler. Lions 33 Bears 30
Bengals (-1.5) over RAVENS– This is probably the swan song for the Ravens who have to win this game to keep hope for the season. Andy Dalton is playing good football in Cincy to go along with the solid defense that has to now compensate for the loss of Geno Atkins. Ravens can’t run the ball and Joe Flacco is not capable of carrying the team making this a tough one. Bengals 24 Ravens 20
PACKERS (-0.5) over Eagles– Tough game to project because everything we know is based off Aaron Rodgers but now we get Seneca Wallace at QB. Still the Eagles defense is pretty terrible and should help cover the deficiencies in Wallace’s game should Green Bay choose to pass. Packers 31 Eagles 20
TITANS (-13.5) over Jaguars– Another week and another non-competitive loss for the Jaguars. Titans 33 Jaguars 10
COLTS (-10.5) over Rams– Only thing that worries me here is a bit of a letdown game where the Colts play down to the level of their opponent. Indianapolis is so much better that it is hard to fathom Kellen Clemens pulling off an upset. Colts 31 Rams 17
Raiders (+7.5) over GIANTS– This line is overreacting to the fact that the Raiders got destroyed last week and have to travel East for this one. Oakland is better than they played against the Eagles while the Giants are still capable of turning the ball over multiple times making them an impossible choice to cover. Giants win a close game. Giants 19 Raiders 16

Panthers (+6.5) over 49ERS– I am really looking forward to this game. I’ve been on Carolina most of this season and think they are vastly underrated. This is their first real test of the season as they have beaten up on some bad teams the last few weeks. That Panthers defense is so good that I expect them to make life miserable for Frank Gore and Colin Kaepernick. Panthers 19 49ers 14
Broncos (-7.5) over CHARGERS– I actually think that this is one of those teams that can give Denver fits because when they play their best they can match points with many teams. They also have a tendency to play up and down to opponents. Still the Broncos are cruising so its impossible to pick against them but this should be a game for at least 3 quarters. Broncos 39 Chargers 31
CARDINALS (-2.5) over Texans– Houston gave it their all last week and suffered a crushing loss on and off the field. After all that emotion I am not sure if they can go on the road and play well against a very good defensive team. Numbers say the game should be close but it would not surprise me at all if the Cardinals just blow them away. Cardinals 20 Texans 16
Cowboys (+6.5) over SAINTS– Dallas almost suffered a catastrophic loss last week before pulling the win out in the final seconds New Orleans is coming off a bad loss where it is becoming apparent how difficult their playoff run will be if they are forced to play outdoors. Dallas can go toe to toe with New Orleans but they have to play like they do at home for it to be the case. I think they will be up to the challenge and be close at the end. Saints 27 Cowboys 21
Dolphins (-2.5) over BUCCANEERS– This is the battle of the most dysfunctional franchises in the NFL right now. On one side you have the team whose player is saying its unsafe and on the other side you have a team that cant get out of their own way and cant wait until the head coach is fired. Probably a relatively low scoring game with the Tampa offense making one really bad mistake to cost them the game. Dolphins 21 Buccaneers 16
