I finished the week at 8-5 SU and 8-4-1 ATS, so not too bad for week 4. I was able to add a win on Thursday with the Packers leaving the record on the season at 42-20 and 38-22-2 respectively. Onto week 5…
Bears (+2.5) over PANTHERS– Last week the game was too fast for Chicago and they blew up, but this should be much more their speed. Panthers defense isn’t playing well right now and their offense isn’t doing anything. Bears get back on track on the road. Bears 24 Panthers 13
Browns (+2) over TITANS– I know I am not big on the Browns but the Titans are horrific. Locker, Whitehurst, whomever…it doesn’t matter. Browns 27 Titans 14
EAGLES (-7) over Rams– The Rams have had a week off to prepare for this game, but I cant see their defense being able to put the breaks on the Eagles offense, especially with Philadelphia coming off the worst effort in years. The line is a little scary at a TD because the Eagles defense stinks, but I’ll expect them to keep pouring it on offensively to cover. Eagles 34 Rams 23
GIANTS (-4.5) over Falcons– Very intriguing game for both teams. Atlanta looks terrible on the road while the Giants have been very efficient the last few weeks. I think we learn a lot about both of these teams this week. If Atlanta can win I think it shows that they can be a legit contender while a win for the Giants would lessen some of the questions about playing against decent competition. Giants 30 Falcons 24

Buccaneers (+10) over SAINTS– New Orleans is in a funk right now and I don’t even think being home is necessarily the cure. Their defense is so bad I can’t give up 10 points to anyone at this point. Bucs had the huge upset last week and I think will fight this week. Saints 29 Buccaneers 23
COWBOYS (-6.5) over Texans– Unless the Cowboys are overconfident from the Sunday beat down of the Saints this should not even be a contest. Houston just isn’t that good. Unless JJ Watt scores 14 points (and hell be all over Romo so you never know) I just don’t see it here. Cowboys bandwagon gets even bigger this week. Cowboys 31 Texans 17
Bills (+6.5) over LIONS– Buffalo did the right thing by taking a chance with Kyle Orton this week to help them run a more varied offense. Detroit’s defense has really been a surprise but overall I don’t feel the team looked that good in the win against the Jets and offensively I think they will continue to struggle enough to let the Bills stay close. Lions 23 Bills 20
Ravens (+3.5) over COLTS– This has the makings of a great game. The Ravens are playing very solid football on both sides while the Colts offense has been terrific. I don’t think you can count either team out at any point in this one. I think the Ravens are more well rounded which makes the difference. Ravens 27 Colts 24
Steelers (-6) over JAGUARS– The Steelers are certainly inconsistent but Id guess they got their dud game out of their system last week. Jaguars are really bad so its hard to not see a big game from Roethlisberger, Bell, and Brown. Steelers 37 Jaguars 16

Cardinals (+7.5) over BRONCOS– Arizona’s defense has been great and this is as good a challenge as you can get. I do think they can slow Denver down for awhile before Manning figures things out. If Arizona had a more consistent offense I think they could win outright, but a few big plays here and there wont work against the Broncos D. Still think they can find a way to cover. Broncos 24 Cardinals 19
49ERS (-5.5) over Chiefs– The Chiefs are coming off a huge high from Monday night when they steamrolled New England and Id expect a downer here. Alex Smith is going to come in looking to prove something but if he presses he’ll fold under pressure. I don’t like this game at all for KC. 49ers 27 Chiefs 14
CHARGERS (-6.5) over Jets– Not much for me to be excited about here. Somehow the Chargers are playing great as a team while the Jets are still struggling to find an identity for like the 3rd straight season. Just don’t see it for the Jets this weekend. Chargers 27 Jets 16
Bengals (-1) over PATRIOTS– New England has looked so bad this season that I cant see them beating the best team in the NFL unless the Bengals head coach puts too much pressure on his team. I do think there may be a few jitters early for Cincy, but I don’t think the Patriots can score in this game. Bengals 23 Patriots 10

Seahawks (-7.5) over REDSKINS– Unless the Seahawks just go through the motions they should pick off Kirk Cousins again and again and again. Seahawks 34 Redskins 14
