Alaric Jackson was expected to be one of the top free agent offensive linemen this year before the Rams stepped up and signed him to a three year, $57.75 million contract extension. Here is a breakdown of the contract.
In 2025, Jackson will earn up to $18.45 million with $17 million of that number fully guaranteed. He will receive a $15 million signing bonus, $2 million fully guaranteed salary, and up to $1.45 million in per game bonuses. His cap number for the year would max out at $8.45 million.
In 2026, Jackson’s compensation is $19.875 million of which $13 million is fully guaranteed and $5.425 million is guaranteed for injury. If on the roster on the 5th day of the league year that additional injury guarantee will be fully guaranteed. There are also $1.45 million in per game bonuses that year. His cap number should be $24.875 million. He can also earn $1.5 million in salary escalators in 2026.
In 2027 Jackson’s compensation is $19.425 million, none of which is guaranteed. There is a $2 million roster bonus due if on the roster on the 3rd day of that league year. His salary is $15.975 million with up to $1.45 million in per game bonuses. There are again $1.5 million in salary escalators. Jackson’s cap number will be $24.425 million.
Overall the contract works out to be $57.75 million with an upside of $60.75 million. $35.425 million is guaranteed with $30 million fully guaranteed. Jackson’s annual contract value is 13th in the NFL among tackles and 6th among contracts of three or less years. The contract structure does make this a tradeable contract in 2026 if things go sideways for the Rams in 2025 and the first real out year if they ever need to cut him would be 2027.
