2015 NFL Predictions: Week 14

My hopes of finishing strong seem to be losing steam was a 10-6 week and just 7-9 picking with the points. The yearly record now stands at 121-71 and 92-95-5.  All the games are now online…

CARDINALS (-10) over Vikings– Even if the Vikings were not banged up I think I would have leaned towards the Cardinals with what Id imagine would have been a 6 or 6.5 point spread.  Arizona at home has generally been unstoppable on offense and I cant picture the Vikings doing well in a shootout. They will try to control the gme with Adrian Peterson but if he cant get going early the game is as good as over. Cardinals 30 Vikings 13

CHIEFS (-11) over Chargers– Chiefs should be considered one of the favorites to go deep in the playoffs if they continue to play as well as they have over the last few games. Chiefs 30 Chargers 13

BEARS (-3.5) over Redskins– Whatever slim hopes the Bears had for the playoffs ended last week but I dont expect a letdown. Washington blew it last week against Dallas and I’m not a fan of their QB on the road. Bears 26 Redskins 16

Colts (+2) over JAGUARS- This line seems to place too much weight on the shelling the Colts took by the Jaguars. Colts are the better team. Colts 17 Jaguars 13

Seahawks (-11) over RAVENS– Ravens are looking more and more like a roster that would be playing in the second half of a preseason game. Seahawks 38 Ravens 13

PANTHERS (-8) over Falcons– If Matt Ryan doesnt help the Falcons turn things around it is going to be a long offseason of criticism of him and his contract. Panthers keep rolling. Panthers 30 Falcons 10

Bills (-1) over EAGLES– Two weeks ago nobody would have given the Eagles a chance, but when you and go out  beat a big team like the Patriots the narrative changes quickly. I’m not sure I buy that narrative just yet. Bills 20 Eagles 17

49ers (+1.5) over BROWNS- Not exactly a marquee matchup on todays calendar. Manziel’s mistakes give San Fran the win. 49ers 17 Browns 13

Lions (-3) over RAMS– Unless Detroit has a meltdown following their heartbreaking loss to Green Bay, this has the makings of a blowout. I definitely did not think I would be saying that a few weeks ago, but these two teams are rapidly going in different directions. Lions 28 Rams 14

Steelers (+2.5) over BENGALS– Pittsburgh’s offense should give the Bengals some fits and can steal this game on the road. The Steelers need one of the next two games to make a good run at the playoffs and I think this is one they get. Steelers 27 Bengals 20

JETS (-7) over Titans– As long as the Jets avoid the slow start to a game they should cover this line. If they have the slow start they may lose outright. Jets 20 Titans 10

BUCCANEERS (-4.5) over Saints– The Saints gave it their all last week and lost. Im not even sure if they show up this week. Bucs have played very well and their head coach deserves a lot of credit for turning the team around this year. Buccaneers 30 Saints 24

BRONCOS (-6.5) over Raiders– Broncos defense is going to be too difficult for the Raiders offense to deal with. Things will be different next year but this is asking too much of Oakland. Broncos 21 Raiders 13

PACKERS (-6.5) over Cowboys– Green Bay has not looked as good as expected this year, but this should be a good matchup for them. Dallas has almost no offense and Green Bay will chip away at that defense as they tire out. Packers 23 Cowboys 10

TEXANS (+3.5) over Patriots- I dont expect the Patriots to lose this game but this is Houston’s last stand and they should give a pretty good defensive effort. Late score for the backdoor cover. Patriots 20 Texans 17

Giants (-2) over DOLPHINS– If the Giants find a new and creative way to lose to Ryan Tannehill and company in prime time the team is probably going to start tearing itself apart. Giants 24 Dolphins 14
