    Jason,
If the Bears want out of the Cutler contract, and the Jets have cap space, might it be worth it for them to sell their 2nd round pick?
You take Cutler and a 2nd round pick for “a player to be named later”

For the Jets, the advantage of Geno starting is:
    They tank another season

    The disadvantage is:
    They anger the fans

So maybe it’s worth getting a below average over paid QB for a 2nd round pick.

    Is this plausible?

I hope we stay far away from Cutler. He is just good enough to get you fired if you are the coach. Just good enough to win some games. But just bad enough to never win anything meaningful at all.

        Harold,
What I mean is “Cutler sucks, but if the Jets can get Cutler (worthless AND a draft pick (valuable) in exchange of salary cap relief – is it worth it?”.

I don’t mean to imply that Cutler is good or that the Jets would want him for real.

    Jason,

I disagree with Chase Stuarts footballperspective article on the Idzik firing. I think you did a much better, deeper, more educated analysis. Chase maybe be a good statistician, but I think he is missing some key facts.
