NFL Predictions, Week 2: Thursday Night Football

[adsenseyu1]

So I started the season in “great” fashion with my 10-6 SU record and 6-9-1 record ATS. Pretty terrible, so hopefully I do a little better next week. Ill be back again this weekend with picks for the Sunday games but for now here are some quick thoughts for the Thursday contest.

Steelers (+2.5) over RAVENS– Losing back to back games would be a terrible way for the season to start for the Ravens, but this is a difficult schedule and I think they can bounce back off this start. Maybe the Ravens put some things together late in the game last week, but offensively they looked like a team still picking up a new offense and offensive scheme. I would think the Ray Rice ordeal would be a bit of a distraction considering the short week of preparation to begin with and having to deal with questions about it. Pittsburgh came out blazing and then nearly lost the game. I don’t know what to make of that, but I do have a hard time believing that the Ravens can cover Antonio Brown, who is probably the best kept secret in the NFL. Steelers 20 Ravens 17
