2015 NFL Predictions: Week 7

Last week’s record was 8-6 SU and completely flamed out picking against the spread with a 3-11 record, which is about as bad as it can get (or at least I hope it is).  The yearly records now stand at 60-31 and 42-45-4. all games are now online after the break…

Seahawks (-6.5) over 49ERS– I still think we are all over reacting a little too much on Seattle. Do they look like the same team as the last two years?  Absolutely not, but there is something in between that level and the poor level people think. .This is a big rivalry game and one of the first, on paper, poor opponents Seattle will play this season. I’ll take my chances that they rise to the occasion. Seahawks 24 49ers 14

Bills (-4) over JAGUARS– Rex is learning what its like to coach a team that has no emotional investment in him, but this is a team that they should just annihilate. Jacksonville has a few pieces in place, but they are still right near the bottom of the NFL overall. Bills 30 Jaguars 17

Browns (+6.5) over RAMS– I see these teams as being pretty closely matched, albeit with strengths on different sides of the football right now. Gurley should run all over the Browns but unless the Rams get their QB isues sorted out this is a huge amount of points to give to a feisty football team. Rams 23 Browns 20

DOLPHINS (-4.5) over Texans– Dominating performance for Miami last week on defense and now they match up with the Texans who are a mess.  DeAndre Hopkins should have a big game for Houston but he’ll probably be the only one as the Texans will make enough mistakes to lose this one. Dolphins 23 Texans 16

Steelers (+3) over CHIEFS– Nothing is going right for Kansas City this season and they are close to the point where players likely begin to just give up on this season. Steelers won’t be good until Big Ben gets back, but they are good enough to tae advantage of this matchup. Steelers 24 Chiefs 17

Jets (+7.5) over PATRIOTS– Can the Jets defense shut down the explosive Patriot offense?  Can the Jets offense limit their mistakes?  Those two answers likely determine the result of the game. Neither team has played a difficult schedule so its a mystery if either team is for real, but this looks to be a heavyweight battle. Home field should make the difference but I think its close. Patriots 27 Jets 23

REDSKINS (-3.5) over Buccaneers– This line scares me a bit because for as bad as Washington may be they are infinitely better than this Tampa team.  Washington defense should create some havoc on the rookie QB. Redskins 28 Buccaneers 17

Falcons (-6) over TITANS– Tennessee has no quarterback and I cant imagine their team has any faith in their head coach after the last two weeks either. Falcons have had a long time to wait for payback after last weeks loss to the Saints and expect them to take it out on the Titans. Falcons 37 Titans 20

Vikings (+1.5) over LIONS– Detroit scored a bunch of points last week but somehow looked unimpressive in doing so. Viking s defense is too tough for Detroit and the gae could get out of control if the Viking offense takes advantage of the Lions defense. Vikings 26 Lions 17

Saints (+4.5) over COLTS– Taking the Saints on the road is always tricky but they wont get a better road matchup than this one. Colts defense is awful and the field is the type the Saints play well on. Saints in an upset. Saints 23 Colts 20

Raiders (+3.5) over CHARGERS– Big game for both teams but Im really curious to see how the Raiders do in a big game against a divisional opponent. Id expect a field goal game here. Chargers 23 Raiders 20

GIANTS (-3.5) over Cowboys– New York played horribly last Monday and this is almost a must win for them considering they already have one loss to Dallas. Cowboys have looked lost without a QB and are hoping to get something out of Matt Cassel. No team that has hoped for that has won anything. Giants 27 Cowboys 20

PANTHERS (-3.5) over Eagles– Should be a bit of a slugfest against two pretty solid defensive teams. Neither team shows much of an offense but Cam Newton is much better than Sam Bradford and that should be the difference. Panthers 23 Eagles 19

CARDINALS (-8.5) over Ravens– Arizona got bit by playing out east last week, but the Ravens are equally bad everywhere. Expect the Cardinals to get pretty healthy this week. Cardinals 40 Ravens 24
